David Archuleta's first single has now been premiered on the radio. The song is title "Crush" and it will keep you occupied until the official release of his album in early November. If you haven't heard the single yet, you can do so via the YouTube video below:

David Archuleta is a singer who recently appeared in Season 7 of American Idol (2008). He has been singing and performing for most of his life. He is currently working on an album due for release in November and his first single, "Crush" is available.

David was born on December 28th, 1990 in Miami, Florida. He is currently 17 years old. David lived in different cities in Florida until he was six years old. His family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in February of 1997. Music is in his genes, as his mother is a singer and his father is a jazz trumpet player. He started singing at the age of 7. He entered a Utah Talent Competition at 10 years old, performing "I Will Always Love You". He received a standing ovation after his performance. He performed on the Jenny Jones show and later won the Star Search title at age 12.

A couple years ago, David was affected by a vocal paralysis where he could hardly even speak. He went to an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor and they had said that surgery was an option but it was risky. David opted to not have the surgery and recovered without.

David also participated and won Star Search at the age of 12.
