Zerglings are some of the first producible attack units the Zerg have at their disposal. With the ability to spawn in pairs, they can be produced in large numbers in a very short period of time. They serve as prime choices for rushing and depending on the build order used, they can prove to execute some of the fastest rushes in the game.

Overlord

Overlord

Overlords directs all information coming from the Zerg cerebrates towards the swarm. Their presence is a necessity for the Zerg army, for they provide supply, necessary to build an army. Overlords are slow flyers, and can detect invisible units.

  • "Slime"" - The Overlord deposists a slimy material over a mineral patch, disabling it from being harvested. The slime can be destroyed with a regular attack.
   

Nydus Worm

Nydus Worm

In the original StarCraft, Nydus Canals allow the Zerg to instantly teleport around the map. With the Nydus Worm, now we see what dug these canals. The Nydus Worm opens up it's mouth to allow smaller Zerg units to quickly transport around the map from inside it's tubular body.

Corruptor

Corruptor

The Zerg Corruptor is an airbourne unit with an unique ability. It's attack does not deal damage, but instead, releases a gooey substance that slowly deposits on an enemy ship. After some time, strange vine-like mutations grow from ship, allowing the Zerg to take control of the ship. The ship will now spray projectiles at nearby targets, at the cost of not being able to move.
